Next up is the final piece of the puzzle – how to use those testimonials to SELL more art.

Let’s jump right in!

1. Create graphics with them and put them on your art product pages

Someone is checking out that recent painting you did, and oh-so tempted to add it to their collection. But they’ve never purchased from you before, how do they know that you will treat them well?

Create graphics with those testimonials (Canva is a great tool here!) and post them on your art product pages, so those potential customers will gain the confidence to hit “Buy” without even leaving that page.

2. Use them as examples when you are asking for more testimonials

You should have a way to collect testimonials and reviews, so if you have a page on your website with a form for collecting them, pop a few reviews on that page to give them some inspiration on what to write.

This gives them a nice gentle nudge that says “here, this is what I want you to write” without actually you know, saying it.

3. Post them on social media

I have a Stories Highlight on my Instagram profile just for testimonials. It gives people confidence, plus it makes it even easier for you to see them and experience the warm & fuzzies.

4. Include them in email marketing

You can transform your email marketing game by infusing stories into the mix, so take a testimonial and spin it into a story. This changes it from “hey look at how this person thinks I’m awesome” into “this is a tale of how my painting brightened their life, and therefore how I am awesome”.

They have the same endgame, but one is definitely more well received.

5. Use them to tackle objections

It’s helpful to have a F.A.Q on your website so your audience can have their questions answered on the fly.

Someone might be shaky on whether or not the painting will make it to them safely, so why don’t you pop a few words in from a past customer that commented on how carefully you packaged the art? It might make all the difference in nailing that next sale.
